Operations Manager in Cleaning Services

The Logistics and Service sector has a regional mandate to deliver internal logistics and services to hospitals and health centers throughout Region Gävleborg. We have approximately 150 employees in Gävle, Sandviken, Bollnäs, Hudiksvall, Söderhamn, and Ljusdal. Together, we develop workflows, standardize methods, and reduce waste – always with a focus on quality, work environment, and continuous improvement. Our goal is to deliver the right services with the right content, in the right way, and at the right time.

Within the sector, we are responsible for several services, including material handling, textile supply, internal transport, bed and cart supply, waste management, cleaning services, and meal supply.

We are looking for an Operations Manager in Cleaning Services

We are seeking an Operations Manager in Cleaning Services who wants to work with development, collaboration, and quality assurance in Region Gävleborg. Come and make a difference with us!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Operations Manager in Cleaning Services, you play a central role in ensuring high quality and efficiency in our cleaning services. You are responsible for the operations and daily execution as well as monitoring suppliers and Region Gävleborg's agreements within cleaning services. In this role, you collaborate closely with healthcare operations, suppliers, service owners, and support functions. You drive improvement work and quality assurance to develop our services and create a safe and well-functioning environment for patients and staff. The role also includes travel within the region.

Your main responsibilities

  • be responsible for daily management and follow-up within the service area
  • administration and analysis within the service area
  • design, implement, and update routines as well as deviation management
  • participate in projects and networks within the area
  • take part in budget planning and cost follow-up
  • work in and develop IT systems related to the operations
  • participate in production and operations meetings, hygiene representative meetings, construction meetings, and other forums where expertise is requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is structured and solution-oriented, with the ability to create order and find practical solutions in a complex operation. You have good collaboration skills and are communicative, which is important in the dialogue with healthcare operations, suppliers, and internal support functions. The role also requires you to be able to work independently while keeping the overall collaboration with various stakeholders intact.

To succeed in the role, experience is required in:

  • contract follow-up and supplier collaboration
  • administrative work and analysis
  • improvement work and quality assurance
  • designing and implementing routines as well as deviation management
  • budget work and cost follow-up
  • collaboration with various stakeholders
  • working in digital systems
  • having a B driver's license, as regular travel is required in the position.

It is an advantage if you have experience in managing cleaning service contracts or leading teams within cleaning services or similar service areas.
